Cross Creek Construction is a family owned custom home builder serving Brenham, Burton, and the rest of Washington County. Greg Thompson brings more than forty years in construction, and nine out of ten of our projects come from referrals.
A home built for your land, not a plan book
All of our projects are custom designed and built to the client’s needs. It would be accurate to say no two of our homes are alike, because no two families or pieces of land are alike either.
Greg starts by walking your property with you. Where the light comes from, where the breeze comes from, where the driveway wants to run. Then he and Trish design the home with you and put it on paper as full CAD working drawings before a single board goes up.
- Any style, done properly. Modern farmhouse, classic ranch, Victorian, stone. Built around how your family actually lives.
- Acreage is our home turf. Homes on open land, with the site work handled: roads, ponds, fencing, gated entries.
- Custom details throughout. Tile work, timber trusses, stone fireplaces, custom bars, real craftsmanship.
- One person responsible. Greg oversees every phase, and you deal with him directly the whole way.

Walk the land with Greg
Every project starts on your property. Greg walks the land with you, talks through what you want, and figures out what belongs where.
Design it together
Greg and Trish design the project with you, and Trish draws the complete set of CAD working drawings. No two projects are alike, so nothing starts from a stock plan.
His crew builds it
A select group of local craftsmen Greg has worked with for years builds it under his direction. You deal with Greg from the first walk to the final walkthrough.

What kind of custom homes do you build?
Whatever fits your family and your land. We have built modern farmhouses, ranch homes, Victorian style homes, and stone homes on acreage. All projects are custom designed and built to the client’s needs. No two are alike.
Do you build on acreage outside town?
That is our specialty. Rural farm and ranch construction is what we have done since 1998: homes on open land, with the driveways, ponds, fencing, and outbuildings that go with them.
Can you handle the design too?
Yes. Greg and Trish design the home with you, and Trish draws the complete set of CAD working drawings.
Who builds it?
A select group of local subcontractors Greg has used for years. Each one is an experienced craftsman, and Greg personally oversees every phase.
